Job Title: Certified Legal Assistant (Civil Litigation)
Location: Oceanside, CA (ONSITE)
Pay: $22-$28 hourly

A reputable law firm based in North County, is seeking a Certified Paralegal with experience in medical malpractice defense. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling cases related to insurance or personal injury defense. We are looking for someone who approaches their work with a neutral perspective, focusing on the law rather than being emotionally invested in outcomes. This is a billable role, requiring a commitment to billing a minimum of 100 hours per month.

Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and analysis related to medical malpractice defense cases.
Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Organize and manage case files, ensuring all relevant documents are maintained and easily accessible.
Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and depositions as necessary.
Assist in the drafting of settlement agreements and other legal documents.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and client communications.
Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:

Certification as a Paralegal from an accredited institution.
Experience in civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, or can consider insurance or personal injury defense
Familiarity with insurance or personal injury defense is preferred.
Strong research and analytical skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
Demonstrated professionalism and integrity.
