Our client is a growing manufacturing company with an emphasis on metal fabrication. The company culture is focused on continuous improvement and quality manufacturing.

This position works in collaboration with the Quality Engineer (QE) check for conformance to industry and company quality standards, policies, procedures, and programs; all in an effort to prevent non-conforming product from reaching the customer’s hands.


GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Know and abide by company rules and policies with regards to safety and conduct, including the use and maintenance of company provided PPE.
• Flexible schedule is required in regards to overtime and start time according to work volumes.
• Other duties may be assigned by a manager.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inspect for and report quality issues to the QE, and Engineering Technicians so each issue can be addressed accordingly.
• Perform random visual spot checks in different areas of the manufacturing process such as (but not limited to) shipping, Labeling, and Pre-Paint, to identify and fix the non-conforming product prior to leaving the plant.
• Responsible for signing off on any RMA/Rework prior to being sent back to the customer.
• Assist in the development of a QC check process.
• Assist in inspecting finished product when needed and with special projects.
• Responsible for performing in house Offline inspections.
• Performing product conformance label assignments.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 2+ years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
