RETAIL STORE MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Provides leadership and day-to-day direction to store sales staff and works to guide staff in achieving the operational and sales goals of the store.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Ensures store sustains a strong customer focus; dedicates quality time with customers and team members on the floor. Answers customer/student questions; provides product demonstrations/customer makeovers.
• Directs overall operations of the store, including customer relations, store sales, scheduling of staff, product application training, and make-up services.
• Greats customers and answer phone and social media inquiries politely, professionally, and knowledgeable.
• Identifies opportunities to drive traffic into the store through community outreach, sampling, and newness launches. Works with the marketing department to drive traffic to the store and contribute to social media content as directed.
• Ensures promotion, merchandising/display/marketing standards are maintained in coordination with company brand guidelines, visual merchandising requirements, and marketing direction.
• Responsible for overall presentation, organization, and cleanliness of the store. Cleans/sanitizes make-up and counters; keeps products, testers, and facility clean, organized, and attractive; performs initial training as needed.
• Manages adequate inventory levels to meet sales demands. Maintains physical inventory and minimizes inventory loss, damage, or shrinkage.
• Proficient in using company software (Shopify, NetSuite, Microsoft 365).
• Supports school staff, faculty, and management to ensure the needs of the school and staff are met.
• Selects, trains, and mentors new team members while developing their abilities and potential. Holds each team member accountable for reasonable standards/ performance objectives while facilitating a positive, team-based work culture. Approves team members' schedules and hours.
• Manages budget; analyzes sales data and financial performance; takes timely and corrective action, as appropriate; keeps management appraised of progress toward goals.
• Maintains a safe, secure work environment and ensures compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
• Carries out all responsibilities honestly, ethically, and professionally.

Additional Skills
