AppleOne is currently seeking a Veteran Case Manager opportunity with Haven for Hope.

Haven for Hope Mission Statement:
To offer a place of hope and new beginnings by providing, coordinating, and delivering an efficient system of care for people experiencing homelessness in San Antonio.

Location: Downtown San Antonio
Pay: $17.00/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

The role will provide light-touch case management; helping with online purchases for ID’s and Birth Certificates, coordinating with Haven partners and our community housing providers, other tasks related to helping our veterans get housing ready, and some light administrative duties.

A couple of key abilities we would like to see are:
• Referrals to and assistance navigating Haven for Hope and partner services
• Support in establishing and making progress towards housing and income goals (includes, but not limited to, resource connection/referrals for ID Recovery, Income and Skills Development, Housing, Clinical Services, Behavioral Health programming, legal support, financial assistance for out of county family reunification
• Ability to relay program and service hours, information related to Haven services and operations processes, and eligibility criteria for various services clients may be seeking
• Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft platforms for communication and tracking
• Strength in documentation and communication- case notes, emails, check request/credit care payments, service entry, staffings
• Ability to de-escalate those who are in crisis/with heightened emotions
• Patience working with those who may have significant mental health concerns or are active in their addiction
