If you’re like most job-seekers, you may not have put much thought into whom you'll want to use as references when potential employers request them. We're often so busy polishing our resumes and cover letters, researching the companies, and preparing for interviews, that we neglect a very important part of the job search process—requesting people to be references.


Q. What can I do about work shoes in the winter. With snow I can't wear anything too nice or it will get ruined. I do have a nice pair of boots but I don't want to be known as the boot lady, so I feel like I need a bit more variety.

A. Many people have a pair of traveling shoes and change into their work shoes when they arrive to the office. Get in touch with your inner Mr. Rogers and all will be well.
