Career Change

I am female and in my Mid thirties. I work in a call center. In San Diego. I am very burned out with call center work, and would like to transition to a field where I could still use my skills. I have a Bachelor's In Spanish. I am thinking of going back to school for my Master's.
I love reading and writing and am an avid sports fan. At this time in my life, i know that there would be no way for me to enter the field of community relations(in the sports industry unless I was a former athlete). I have worked various jobs before I was hired in the callcenter where i am currently employed. I have worked briefly in the field of Public Relations, served as a Contributing writer for small area newspaper, served as an intern for a llocal PR Company, worked as an intern for a social service agency.

I could go on and on about my work experience, but what I need to know is what field I can transition to ? i am motivated, people oriented, a team player, and dedicated?

I would love to work as a Publicist ? Anyone have suggestions? Please help me with any advice or suggestions you may have.

Thanks

I would suggest you research Publicist as a job field. Check out the library and read up on the subject. Then check for companies provide publicity. Or set up a public relations event to promote your ability to be a publicist.

Find someone just starting out who needs to get more exposure for his music, art or whatever.

Or start your own business, and find clients. That may involve cold calling and knocking on doors.

Good luck.

Keep on trying
