| It won't help for the time you were bored, but I take along my computer books, at present I am working in Windows office 2000 at work, and in Windows XP Pro at home. I take the 2000 books to work and play with the excel, word, access, and power point programs.
I consider it my paid classroom time.

| I worked for almost six months at a frighteningly low wage for ever increasing responsibilities BEFORE the company decided that they couldn't afford me on full time permanent. My recruiter and I have given the company two weeks notice. My last day with them is on the 25th of February. I'm scared to death to be out of a job but can't keep starving my family now I know there is no chance of a perm hire for more money. |

| There are a lot of companies out there hiring for Full Time positions. I have been very fortunate in that AppleOne has placed me several times in positions that were either temp to perm or direct hire.
The problem is much the same everywhere, jobs aren't careers anymore. Don't expect to stay in a position for more then 5 years unless you own the business. If you don't have a promotion with in a company in that time...You aren't going to get one.
Time to move on at that ... |
