Summary: Instrumentation Controls Technician designs/troubleshoots machine controls using PLC's, PC's, HMI's, motor drives or other instrumentation controls.
Job Duties and Skills required: - Develop control, data collection and signal processing systems - Troubleshoot existing PLC's , HMIs, motor drives, electronic circuits, electro-mechanical systems, PID controllers and electronic sensors of all types - Ensure satisfactory operation of new equipment; prepare operating and training manuals - Train maintenance staff to service critical electronic components - Monitor and adjust as necessary any equipment validating product. - Min. 5 years in electrical and electronics field. - Strong process control background, including temperature & pressure controls, strain gages/load cells, signal conditioners, lasers - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Competent with PLC programming, control panel layout and construction - Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills in fast paced manufacturing environment - Flexible and open minded to assist and perform any task as required by management not limited to the above criteria listed
