The Accounting Clerk is responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. A key focus of this role will be managing financial transactions related to FLCs, ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage payroll for employees, including those provided by FLCs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain accurate records of FLC agreements, payments, and related documentation.
Reconcile FLC invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and regulations related to FLCs, including wage and hour requirements, worker classification, and reporting.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Prepare and analyze financial reports.
Respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and FLCs regarding financial matters.
Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, with specific experience working with FLCs.
Strong understanding of agricultural payroll and related regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
