Exciting Opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist! ??
Are you an Accounts Payable (AP) expert looking for a challenging and rewarding assignment? We have an incredible opportunity for you to showcase your skills and make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Leadership: Assist the AP leadership team in managing workload and coverage for AP Specialists, Analysts, and Contractors.
• Data & Reporting: Create and analyze reports and KPIs to drive performance.
• Process Improvement: Identify and document opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Complex Issue Resolution: Effectively resolve high-visibility payable issues.
• Payment Runs: Review, approve, and release payment runs.
• Quality Assurance: Provide quality assurance review of payables.
• SOX Compliance: Work closely with the SOX program to revise or create AP workflows, narratives, and controls.
• Vendor Audits: Audit complex vendor statements.
• Financial Close: Review journal entries for month-end financial close.
• Ad Hoc Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or related role.
• Minimum 3-5 years of team management experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and accounts payable processes.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related area.
• PeopleSoft experience.
• Banking integration project experience.
• Project management experience.
• Tableau or experience creating reports/KPIs.
