Accountant Job Summary: The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This position supports the finance team by performing general accounting duties such as processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Accountant Key Responsibilities:
-Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
-Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
-Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and tax filings.
-Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
-Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and laws.
-Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting for intercompany transactions.
-Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency in financial reporting.
-Support the finance team with special projects as needed.
Accountant Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, but not required
-1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting or 0 years of experience with a bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
-Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
