Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry: Enter financial transactions into accounting software and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
Accounts Payable: Process invoices, verify expenses, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Accounts Receivable: Assist in billing customers, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding invoices.
Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and other financial documents to ensure accuracy.
Record Keeping: Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and documentation, including receipts and invoices.
Assistance with Reports: Help prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, as needed.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Previous experience in an accounting or clerical role is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Basic understanding of accounting principles.
