The Accounting Clerk is responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This role requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
Prepare and distribute accounts receivable invoices.
Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Generate and analyze financial reports.
Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and employees regarding financial matters.
Assist with audits and other financial reviews.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
