Job Summary
The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and a seamless month-end closing process. This position plays a critical role in leading a team, managing budgets, and supporting strategic financial decisions within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare financial statements in compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting controls and policies.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to achieve their performance goals and professional growth.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities.
Assist in audits, both internal and external, and manage the relationship with auditors.
Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the accounting function.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred.
years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in additional accounting software or data visualization tools.
