Accounting Specialist
Summary
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for a broad range of Accounts Payable and general accounting functions. Key responsibilities include invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month-end close procedures, and various other accounting and administrative tasks.
Experience and Qualifications
2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Payable
Proficiency in accounting software, including SAGE300CRE (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Associates degree in Accounting or related field
Responsibilities
Process invoices and vendor payments
Reconcile vendor statements and bank accounts
Prepare and post journal entries
Assist with month-end close procedures, including reconciliations of accounts payable, prepaid expenses, notes payable, real estate taxes, and other accounts
Manage credit card transactions and payments
Maintain inventory records for various assets, including automobiles, equipment, and golf course equipment
Prepare percentage completion schedules and project management time allocations
Assist with filing and record-keeping
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
