A clothing company based in Santa Barbara, CA is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join their team! Experience working with retail, fashion, or clothing is a plus!
Pay: $25-$28 an hour
Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8am-5pm
Location: On-site in Downtown Santa Barbara, CA 93101
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Job Duties:
• Manage the entire Accounts Payable cycle from ensuring proper coding, reconcile discrepancies, entry into NetSuite through payment to vendors.
• Process payments through bank and print checks from NetSuite.
• Setup new vendors in NetSuite, acquiring completed W-9.
• Run daily Accounts Receivable reports, and work with appropriate departments to clear open items.
• Prepare and file property tax and other local returns
• Assist with year-end taxes and annual external audit.
• Manage the year-end Form 1099s preparation, processing and mailing out to vendor per IRS updated guidelines including maintenance of Form W-9 files.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting
- Systems savvy: Familiarity with MS Outlook, MS Excel/Word, NetSuite, and QuickBooks software applications a plus.
