Position Overview:
As an Air Export Coordinator, you will manage and oversee the export process for air shipments from start to finish. This includes handling documentation, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations. Your ability to maintain strong client and carrier relationships while managing logistics efficiently will be key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate air export shipments, ensuring all processes adhere to deadlines.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including export declarations, commercial invoices, and airway bills.
Communicate with clients, carriers, and overseas offices to arrange shipments and resolve issues.
Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and manage delays or discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with export regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
Provide cost estimates and ensure billing accuracy, resolving discrepancies promptly.
Maintain accurate records in freight management systems and ensure data integrity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in air export coordination, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
Knowledge of export regulations, documentation requirements, and customs compliance.
Proficiency in freight management systems (e.g., Cargowise, SAP) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong communication and customer service skills; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with problem-solving capabilities and the ability to meet deadlines.
