Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Architect II/III with a strong background in Project Management to join our team. This role will involve managing a variety of projects across sectors including K-12, higher education, civic, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience working through all phases of design and construction, from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Administration (CA) and Construction Documents (CD).
We are also open to candidates with experience as Project Coordinators or Designers who have supported projects for 5+ years and are looking to transition into a more senior role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Oversee the development of design documentation, from SD through CA/CD.
Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to coordinate project requirements and deliverables.
Provide design leadership and technical oversight to junior staff and project teams.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, schedules, and budgets.
Manage and track project progress, resolving issues and risks as they arise.
Ensure all design work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Coordinate project teams to ensure effective communication and workflow between all project stakeholders.
Conduct project reviews and ensure quality control throughout all phases of the design and construction process.
Required Qualifications:
5-10+ years of experience in architectural design and project management.
Experience in at least one of the following sectors: K-12, higher education, civic, healthcare, or a combination of these.
Strong experience in all phases of the project process, from Schematic Design (SD) to Construction Administration (CA) and Construction Documents (CD).
Proficient in Revit (required), with strong BIM (Building Information Modeling) capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and teams, with exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, consultants, and team members.
A degree in Architecture or related field (required).
Licensure preferred, but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Project Coordination or supporting project management roles.
Knowledge of project management tools and software.
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
