Our client is hiring Assembly Technicians. These roles are responsible for assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining fluid system components and systems, such as pumps, valves, pipes, and other equipment used in industries like manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or oil and gas. The technician ensures that fluid systems, which often involve hydraulic, pneumatic, or liquid flow, operate efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly of Fluid System Components:
Assemble and install components of fluid systems, including pipes, hoses, fittings, pumps, valves, and pressure regulators.
Ensure proper alignment and assembly of system parts, using tools and machinery like wrenches, screwdrivers, and torque tools.
Reading and Interpreting Technical Drawings:
Study blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand fluid system designs and specifications.
Follow assembly instructions and system diagrams to assemble parts in the correct order and configuration.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Test assembled fluid systems for functionality, leaks, and pressure levels.
Identify and troubleshoot issues in the system, such as leaks, blockages, or improper pressure regulation, and take corrective actions.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on fluid systems to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
Repair and replace faulty components such as pumps, valves, and seals when needed.
Quality Control and Safety:
Ensure that all assemblies meet safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
Conduct final inspections to verify that systems meet specifications, testing requirements, and performance standards.
Inventory Management:
Maintain an inventory of components and tools necessary for assembly and repairs.
Order replacement parts and materials as needed.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure proper assembly processes.
Document assembly and maintenance procedures, and report any deviations or problems encountered during assembly.
System Integration:
Integrate fluid systems with larger machines or industrial systems, ensuring that fluid flow and pressure align with operational requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment specific to fluid systems.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate assembly.
Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues with fluid systems.
Attention to Detail: Precision in assembly and testing to ensure systems function correctly.
Mechanical Aptitude: Familiarity with mechanical and fluid control systems.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in fluid system assembly and maintenance.
Education and Training:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Additional technical training or certification in mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, or hydraulic/pneumatic systems is preferred.
On-the-job training in specific fluid system assembly practices, equipment, and safety protocols is available.
