Join a well-established, full-service general contractor specializing in high-end custom residential projects, new commercial builds, and industrial/commercial developments in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support our field superintendent in overseeing construction projects. This position offers excellent growth potential, with the opportunity to advance into a full Superintendent role.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise subcontractors to ensure performance quality and timely issue resolution. Update and maintain project schedules using Smartsheet or similar software.
Assist with budget management by monitoring expenses, identifying variances, and managing RFIs.
Help achieve project goals by establishing standards, coordinating staff and subcontractors, and resolving design issues.
Ensure a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards, complying with regulations, and leading weekly safety meetings.
Stay informed on the latest construction practices and standards.
Requirements:
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
OSHA, first aid, and CPR certifications are a plus (training available upon hire). Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Procore, and Smartsheet.
Strong knowledge of all construction phases, from grading to interior finishes. Experience with quantity surveys and basic estimating formats is a plus.
