Position Overview:
The Branch Manager oversees daily operations of a full-service bank branch, ensuring efficient administration, compliance, customer service, product sales, and adherence to security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Staff Management: Hire, train, and develop branch staff; conduct regular one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews; manage staffing levels and coach staff in service and sales techniques.
• Branch Operations: Monitor branch profitability, manage expenses, review branch certifications, ensure audit compliance, and maintain quality control. Approve large transactions and oversee daily operations.
• Customer Service: Model and enforce exceptional customer service, resolve complex issues, and handle escalated client concerns. Work with staff to create a welcoming environment and differentiate from competitors.
• Sales Leadership: Develop sales strategies and community engagement to drive new accounts and deposits. Coach team on cross-selling and relationship building.
• Community Relations: Participate in community events and contribute at least 10 CRA volunteer hours per year.
Supervisory Role:
• Manage 2+ branch employees, assess performance, manage schedules, and ensure timecard accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Proven sales record with branch growth
• 7+ years in banking, 5+ years in branch management, and 3+ years managing complex accounts
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience in hiring, training, and performance management
• Community involvement (e.g., Rotary, Chamber of Commerce)
• Notary Public preferred; proficiency in Word, Excel, and banking software required
