Essential Functions:
• Prepare case work for evaluation and submission of Bankruptcy claims.
• Communicates with clients and doctors offices over the phone and by email and via mail.
• Prepares and mails authorization packets and fee contracts to clients.
• Interviews clients for demographic information.
• Drafts and sends approved Economic Loss Questionnaires to experts.
• Prepares Med Approval form for Supervisor approval to order medical and billing records.
• Orders employment records. Routes employment, medical and billing records to Data Processing.
• Reviews work records, medical records and other documents received by clients.
• Sends Req for Eco-M work up and processes completed documentation to expert.
• Drafts letters, authorizations and documents including detailed work history declarations and doctor declarations re: oxygen use.
• Obtains health updates on clients.
• Updates CMP Matter Checklist, contact notes and directives.
• Completes Resolved case directives including tasks mentioned above.
• Assists Bankruptcy Attorneys and Supervisors as needed.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a similar legal office environment required.
• Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft, Google Chrome, Edge, proprietary programs, word processing, and business email and letter formatting.
• Attention to detail, multi-tasking, teamwork and time management skills.
This is a REMOTE position. Must live within 30 miles of firm in Novato, Ca, 94945.
