Job Summary: The Bankruptcy Case Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting case work for bankruptcy claims. This role involves client communication, document preparation, record management, and assisting attorneys and supervisors in various tasks related to bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:
• Communicate with clients via phone and email to gather necessary information and provide updates.
• Prepare and mail authorization packets and fee contracts to clients.
• Conduct client interviews to collect demographic information.
• Draft and send Economic Loss Questionnaires to experts following approval.
• Prepare Medical Approval forms for supervisor review to facilitate the ordering of medical and billing records.
• Order and manage employment records, ensuring accurate routing to Data Processing.
• Review and organize work, medical, and other client-related records.
• Send requests for Economic Loss workups and process completed documentation for expert analysis.
• Draft and review letters, authorizations, and documents, including detailed work history declarations and doctor declarations regarding oxygen use.
• Communicate with medical offices via phone and mail to obtain necessary information.
• Process incoming mail, scan, and upload various documents to the appropriate systems.
• Obtain and update health information on clients as needed.
• Perform death calls to update client records and processes.
• Draft and review WMAC Rogs for attorney approval.
• Update CMP Matter Checklist, contact notes, and directives regularly.
• Complete tasks related to resolved cases, including those mentioned above.
• Assist Bankruptcy Attorneys and Supervisors with additional tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar office environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, proprietary programs, word processing, and business email and letter formatting.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, teamwork, and time management skills are essential for success in this role
