In this role, you’ll manage coding and billing processes to ensure accurate reimbursement, compliance with regulations, and seamless revenue cycle operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze patient records to identify accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Submit claims to insurance companies and ensure timely follow-ups to resolve denials or discrepancies.
• Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with current guidelines (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations and coding standards.
• Generate billing reports and assist in revenue cycle management initiatives.
• Handle patient billing inquiries and resolve account discrepancies in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
• Fluent in English and Spanish (Verbal and Written) required.
• 3+ years of experience in medical billing and coding is required.
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in coding systems, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Solid understanding of insurance processes, including Medicare and Medicaid.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
