Non-Profit organization that provides services such medical, housing, education, mental health services, in home care, etc. to families, adults, teens, mothers, veterans and the homeless is looking to hire MULTIPLE Bilingual Spanish Front Office Medical Support Specialist

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MEDICAL CHARTING AND MEDICAL BILLING

Start date: ASAP

Work hours: Monday-Friday 8am until 5pm

Duration: Estimated 3 to 6 months, could go longer

Required Education, Training, Experience and Certifications:
-1 to 3 years of related clerical/medical billing/medical charting experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Summary:
-Answering phones and taking messages to back up receptionist when needed
-File clerk, charting medical records, scanning documents, processing claims
-Collate and file all documents associated with client charts.
-Create client charts.
-Assist in annual chart maintenance/boxing of charts for storage.
-Scan external documents into the EHR including but not limited to: hospitalization records, suicide risk screenings, release of information, texting policy, minute order, physicals.
-Scan checklists into the shared drive for tracking purposes.
-Obtain required documents from previous treatment providers.
-Process opening packets by updating client information in the EHR and changing the status of the account.
-Processes discharge packets according to policy.
-Process and follow-up on requests for records.
-Enter monthly eligibility authorizations in the EHR.
-Check and track all activities reports turned in by clinic staff.
-Update daily downloads including but not limited to the Client Data Export and the Billable Services Export.
-Reconcile denied claims weekly.
-Reconcile rejected claims weekly.
