If you are a bookkeeper with grant experience (ARPA - American Rescue Plan Act experience is a plus) and have knowledge of principles/protocol and correct management of grants to avoid being “flagged”, then this position is for you!
Additional Responsibilities:
Preparing and examining financial records for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) department and Basic Environmental Protection Procedures.
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
Able to create accurate P&L, balance sheets, and business templates as necessary.
Must be able produce Job Cost reports and Reconciliation, and able to maintain multiple project files.
Maintain and balance the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, and preparing a balanced, subsidiary balance sheet.
Keeping accurate financial records for various public works projects
Inputting and tracking general and utility payments, revenue share, government payments.
Knowledge of Certified Public Accounting (CPA) and/or experience working with a CPA in reconciling debts or balancing budgets a plus.
knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Able to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines.
Answering phone calls and scheduling meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
