Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to handle day-to-day financial tasks, including maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-driven, and able to work independently while collaborating with other team members as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Reconcile accounts and generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and monthly statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Prepare tax documents and support tax filings as needed.
Ensure all transactions are compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Communicate with management regarding financial status, forecasts, and potential issues.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A high level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with payroll processing.
Knowledge of tax regulations and filing procedures.
Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred but not required).
