Position Overview:
The Branch Operations Specialist will deliver personalized banking services to clients while ensuring compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations. This role includes providing leadership, training, and support to staff and assisting the Branch Manager in driving branch growth. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of banking operations, products, and services, and can ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule branch staff to ensure appropriate coverage
• Work with staff to maintain a positive and efficient customer experience
• Stay updated with operational standards and procedures, and review branch documentation for policy compliance
• Ensure branch certification packages are accurate and complete
• Maintain branch security by training staff on security protocols and maintaining control over keys, combinations, signals, and cash limits
• Advise clients on account disputes and other activities, ensuring timely resolutions
• Perform daily operational duties, such as file maintenance and overdraft reports
• Review and approve or decline exceptions within Transaction Approval Authority limits
• Perform teller duties, open new accounts, and handle callbacks of new accounts and file maintenance
• Review new account openings for adherence to procedures and regulatory requirements
• Address escalated customer service issues and answer phones
• Complete a minimum of 10 hours of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) volunteer hours annually (compensated time, with mileage reimbursed)
• Other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager

Qualifications:
• 5-8 years of banking experience, with a minimum of 2-5 years in a supervisory role
• 2-5 years of operations experience in the banking sector
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as banking software applications
• Notary Public certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal banking regulations
