Key Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation & Compliance: Prepare and file individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws.
Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Tax Planning & Strategy: Provide proactive tax planning advice and strategies to help minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients or internal stakeholders.
Audit & Review: Assist in audit preparation and provide support during external audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with clients, team members, and other departments to resolve issues and deliver clear financial insights.
Ongoing Learning: Stay up-to-date with changing tax regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and deliver optimal solutions.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certification: Active CPA license is required.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting role with a focus on tax compliance and preparation.
Skills: Strong knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles, and financial reporting. Proficiency with tax software (ProSeries, UltraTax) and accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial and tax information to clients and team members.
Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
