We are seeking a dedicated Value Based Coder to join our clients team.
Location: Remote and Office
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Pay Range: $26-32/hour
Responsibilities:
Review patient medical record information via population health tools on both a retroactive and prospective basis to identify, assess, monitor, and review network coding opportunities as it pertains to risk adjustment.
Ensure accurate and timely coding of medical records in accordance with CPT, ICD-10, and CMS HCC Risk Adjustment guidelines.
Validate coding data and identify coding errors or inconsistencies.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient coding practices.
Qualifications:
CPC;CERTIFIED CODER (CT CDE)
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Risk Coder (CRC).
Advanced knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding required.
Familiarity and understanding of CMS HCC Risk Adjustment coding and data validation requirements.
Associate degree in healthcare or equivalent work experience.
2-3 years of experience in outpatient coding preferred.
Computer literacy of medical information systems, records management software, encoders.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with significant attention to detail.
Knowledge of federal and state guidelines on all coding systems and sponsored programs.
