We are seeking a Chemical Process Technician to support operations at a customer site. This role is ideal for Chemistry or Engineering students looking to jump-start their careers. The selected candidate will be responsible for the testing, operation, and maintenance of a paint detackification system used in automotive manufacturing.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in an industrial setting. Please note: This is a physically demanding and potentially messy/dirty job that requires candidates comfortable with such an environment.
Location: 25 Siebald Street, Statesboro, GA 30458
Pay Rate: $25-$28.85/Hr
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (100% Onsite)
Qualifications:
• Experience: 0-3 years (Candidates with more than 3 years of experience will not be considered)
• Education: Background in Chemistry or Engineering preferred
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Basic problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with quality systems concepts
• Key Responsibilities:
• Perform chemical testing, document results, and adjust chemistry to maintain process stability
• Operate and maintain chemical pumping and control systems
• Optimize separation equipment to remove paint waste
• Repair chemical feed pumps and related equipment as needed
• Maintain chemical inventory and assist with cost control
• Adhere to safety regulations, including the use of steel-toed boots (candidate must provide their own), eye and ear protection, and chemical handling PPE (face shields, apron, gloves, etc.)
Additional Requirements:
• Must be available for rotating shifts and occasional weekends
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move chemical drums using drum dollies
• Limited travel may be required
