About the Role:

We are looking for a Credit Officer with experience in the banking industry, specifically in commercial lending, to review and analyze loan applications, assess credit risk, and help make informed credit decisions. This role is essential to support the bank’s lending activities while maintaining a healthy credit portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:

Credit Assessment:
Review commercial loan applications and financial documents.
Analyze creditworthiness and assess repayment capacity.
Prepare credit recommendations based on financial analysis and bank policies.
Communicate with clients to clarify or request additional information.
Recommend appropriate loan structures.

Credit Decision Support:
Make recommendations (approve, counteroffer, deny) to the credit committee.
Ensure all credit decisions comply with internal
policies and regulations.
Maintain accurate and complete credit files.

Portfolio Monitoring:
Monitor loan performance and identify early warning signs.
Conduct periodic financial reviews of existing clients.
Support loan restructurings when needed.

Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Stay informed on market trends and credit-related regulations.
Assist with collection efforts when necessary.


Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial credit analysis within a bank.
Strong knowledge of financial statements, ratios, and credit structures.
Experience with middle market and small business lending.
Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish.


Benefits:
Base Salary: $80,000 – $90,000, negotiable
