Immediate need for a Compliance Specialist in San Bernardino. 8-hr. shift between 6:30 am and 5 pm with 30 min lunch. Hybrid schedule is a possibility. The Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing DOT driver qualification files. This position reviews all DOT driver qualification files and driver credentials, validates all information, reviews file against our minimum eligibility requirements to ensure they satisfactorily meet them, maintain driver credentials post hire. The Compliance Specialist reports directly to the Field Compliance Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Constant communication with drivers related to drivers' files • Enter driver profile in back office • Continuous follow up on pending employment verifications post hire to obtain 36 months per Federal DOT guidelines • Maintain all driver credentials and monitor Motor Vehicle Reports post hire • Conduct annual audits of DOT driver qualification files • Respond to Unemployment Claims • Respond to Employment and/or Financial Verifications • Maintain our Drug Testing program • Conduct E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility • Answer phones and emails • Send out Adverse Action letters in accordance with FCRA/ECOA • Other related job and duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. DOT compliance knowledge highly desirable. Good typing and data entry skills COMPUTER and SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook UltraStaff, and Tenstreet are a plus.
