As our Compliance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our compliance program, ensuring adherence to all relevant food safety regulations, quality standards, and internal policies. You will lead a team of compliance professionals, manage compliance and quality processes, and contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that uphold our commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor a team of compliance and quality professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Oversee the execution of compliance monitoring and testing programs, with a focus on food safety and quality, identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Manage the investigation and resolution of compliance incidents and quality deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Develop, maintain, and enforce quality management system (QMS) documentation, including policies, procedures, and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, R&D) to integrate compliance and quality requirements into all stages of the product lifecycle.
Monitor changes in food safety regulations, industry best practices, and quality standards (e.g., GFSI, SQF, HACCP) and update programs accordingly.
Prepare and present reports on compliance activities, quality performance, and food safety metrics to management.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps, quality issues, and food safety hazards.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety and quality.
Oversee product recalls or field corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in compliance and/or quality assurance within the food industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., FSMA, HACCP) and quality standards (e.g., GFSI, SQF, ISO 22000).
Experience developing and implementing food safety programs, quality management systems, and product safety protocols.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Relevant certifications (e.g., HACCP, PCQI) are a plus.
