Crises Counselor Needed/Bilingual Spanish Speaking to $69,000.00
Growing Non-Profit on the central peninsula seeks a compassionate and dedicated Crisis Counselor to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for reaching out to individuals who have suffered from domestic violence incidents and offering your services. Key duties include:
-Responding to calls from law enforcement within the co-responder's jurisdiction.
-Providing immediate on-scene crisis response, needs assessment, and safety planning for all victims and their children after the scene is deemed safe.
-Facilitating access to emergency resources that increase immediate safety.
-Working with law enforcement to ensure all necessary forms are completed to provide victim and child safety following the incident.
-Completing and filing Emergency Response Program referrals as on-site support for law enforcement personnel.
Ideally seeking Career Minded-Bachelors or Associates Degreed with an interest in Social Work or Law Enforcement.
Qualifications:
-Experience in crisis response or a related field.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement and other emergency responders.
-Knowledge of domestic violence issues and resources.
-Ability to remain calm and provide support in high-stress situations.
