Job Ad: Data Management Consultant
Location: Hybrid in Charlotte, NC | Dallas, TX | New York, NY (3 days in office, 2 remote)
Duration: 6 months with strong potential for extension
Pay Rate: $62/hour

Overview:
We are seeking a Data Management Consultant to partner with our Fortune 500 client in their Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division. This critical consulting role focuses on advanced data validation, reconciliation, and governance, providing high-level expertise while delivering updates to senior leadership and ensuring compliance across diverse data environments.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with CIB data management leaders, business stakeholders, and technology teams to execute key data management initiatives.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data policies, procedures, and governance standards.
• Resolve complex data quality issues and implement robust remediation strategies.
• Design, establish, and monitor data quality controls for critical business elements.
• Support regulatory remediation activities and ensure effective mitigation of data-related risks.
• Develop and track key metrics to measure compliance, control effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
• Identify, escalate, and address emerging risks associated with data governance.
• Present findings and updates to senior leadership in high-visibility, fast-paced settings.

Desired Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in financial services, ideally within investment banking, corporate banking, commercial real estate, or capital markets.
• Advanced expertise in data validation, reconciliation, lineage, and governance.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise data environments, including sourcing, conformance, and distribution.
• Strong understanding of data movement and quality controls (both detective and preventative).
• Proven business analysis skills with technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in technology delivery or technology change management.
• Familiarity with AI tools and concepts is a plus but not required.

Ideal Candidate:

• Highly skilled in managing data across multiple sources and adapting to dynamic priorities.
• Confident communicator with the ability to present complex updates to senior leadership under pressure.
• Strong track record of driving impactful results in a data management or governance role.
