Our client, a leader in the intermodal logistics industry, is seeking a skilled Intermodal Transportation Dispatcher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional who thrives in coordinating transitions between rail, truck, and ship while ensuring freight moves efficiently and on time.


Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate freight transitions seamlessly between rail, truck, and ship to ensure timely deliveries.
- Use tracking systems such as McLeod Software, TMW Systems, PortPro, Samsara, or Envase to monitor shipments and address any issues in real-time.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and customers to provide updates and resolve transit challenges.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, schedules, and delivery confirmations.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve delays, equipment issues, or reroutes.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure efficiency and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: 3+ years in intermodal transportation dispatching.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in tracking systems such as McLeod Software, TMW Systems, PortPro, Samsara, or Envase.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of intermodal logistics, including rail, truck, and port operations.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage driver and customer interactions.
Problem-Solving: Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced logistics environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with port and rail logistics.
- Familiarity with transportation cost optimization.
- Knowledge of freight routes and geographic regions.
