This Door Technician

Job Summary: Door Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial roll up doors, and occasionally work on garage doors and storefront glass doors in commercial and residential properties. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail to ensure the safety and functionality of glass door systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Install various types of glass doors, including sliding, automatic, and manual doors.
Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on installed glass doors to ensure optimal performance.
Measure and cut glass to fit door frames accurately.
Assemble and install door frames, handles, locks, and other hardware.
Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving to address issues with glass doors.
Ensure all installations comply with safety regulations and building codes.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing their concerns.
Document all work performed, including installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to glass doors.
Normal working hours are between 7:30am and 4:00pm with some emergency callouts on weekends and after hours. We also are working on a project that may require a split shift from 4 AM to 8 AM and then again from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Pay scale starts out at $20 per hour with the ability to make $35 and more depending on skills.

Candidates with tools is a plus.

50% coverage after 90 days for benefits.
