Engineering Project Manager
Our client is looking for an Engineering Project Manager to oversee the construction phase of structural restoration projects. In this role, you will collaborate with clients—primarily condominium associations—and restoration contractors to ensure adherence to project plans, which include fieldwork, budgets, quantities, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
You will manage a variety of projects, so familiarity with different building types, such as prestressed/precast, reinforced concrete, conventional cast-in-place, and post-tensioned structures is essential. Additionally, you will oversee related work aspects, including coatings, waterproofing, doors and windows, railings, and roofing. Coordination of inspections with contractors before, during, and after construction is also part of your responsibilities.
Project management certification or relevant experience is a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with clients to ensure satisfaction throughout the project.
Understand project parameters, goals, and budgets thoroughly.
Supervise the construction team during project execution.
Ensure that final outcomes meet specifications and regulatory standards.
Provide high-level quality management oversight for quality assurance.
Conduct site visits as needed, averaging once or twice a week.
Maintain strong communication with both clients and contractors.
Manage 4 to 8 projects simultaneously across various locations.
Requirements:
Experience in coastal structural concrete restoration, waterproofing, and/or roofing.
Background in construction or related industries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Willingness to train individuals with the right aptitude.
Comfort with working at heights using lifts, scaffolding, or swing stages.
Physical ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
Several years of engineering and leadership experience preferred.
Familiarity with relevant software, including AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and Microsoft 365 applications.
Compensation:
Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000 based on experience.
Additional benefits include expense coverage, vehicle allowance, gas reimbursement, health insurance allowance, 401(k), performance bonuses, and paid vacation/holidays.
Note: Job sites will range from St. Augustine to New Smyrna Beach, and candidates must be willing to travel regularly to assigned sites.
