As an Equipment Service Technician, you will play a vital role in the automotive manufacturing process by troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and modifying manufacturing and test equipment. Your primary objective will be to enhance systems uptime and reliability, ensuring optimal performance at all times. Additionally, you will oversee equipment modifications to accommodate process changes, new models, and expansions, while meticulously maintaining and updating all process documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and modify automotive manufacturing and test equipment.
• Oversee equipment modifications for process changes, new models, and expansions.
• Maintain and update all process documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices.
Specific Requirements:
• Associate Degree in a technical manufacturing discipline + 2 years of automation/PLC controls experience with industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems, and PC controls; OR High school diploma/GED and 2 years technical maintenance experience + 2 years automation/PLC controls experience with industrial maintenance, mechanical, electronic systems, and PC controls (4 years total experience).
• Highly flexible individual capable of adapting to changes quickly.
• Willingness to work overtime and holidays as needed.
• Must pass a computer-based technical knowledge assessment and a hands-on electrical troubleshooting proficiency test working with live current.
Preferred Experience:
• Maintenance and troubleshooting experience with closed-loop servo systems.
• Design, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of sequential processes.
• Working knowledge of high-level programming languages.
• Experience interfacing controls, processes, and feedback devices.
• Familiarity with Human/Machine interface devices and associated software.
• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AC variable frequency drives.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in three-phase power, pneumatic controls, and Siemens PLC S7 experience.
