Immediate need for an Expeditor at this Telecommunications Manufacturer. This role will support the Manager of Procedures and Planning in coordinating schedules and work flows between departments to expedite production.
Duties Include:
- Performs various production control activities including gathering and filing records, reporting on use of materials, monitoring customer orders, posting production schedules, and calculating production rates.
· Facilitates and expedites the flow of materials, work orders, and production documentation to and from various departments.
· Review and update backorder and critical item reports
· Expedites part shortages or substitutes through appropriate channels and monitors status of critical materials.
· Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, material, machines, and equipment.
· Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing methods received from methods or engineering departments.
· Assists in preparing details of production schedules.
· Handles any delivery inconsistencies or delays.
· Tracks (on a daily basis) all operations from final assembly and sub assembly.
Requirements:
· Experience with MRP systems (QAD a plus), Bills of Materials, and Routings.
· Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, and production control methods. Electronics manufacturing preferred.
