Location: Durham, NC (Must live within 1-hour commute)
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire (40 hours/week, rotating on-call shifts including weekends)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding our telecommunications network. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fusing optical fibers to ensure seamless data transmission and reliable connectivity for our growing infrastructure.

What You’ll Do
Perform fiber splicing and cable upgrades for both aerial and underground networks
Test, activate, and troubleshoot network circuits after installation
Ensure all splicing work meets customer and industry standards
Work safely at various heights, including underground and elevated environments
Conduct basic vehicle maintenance, including routine fluid checks
Document daily work through production reports, map markups, and material usage records
Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need
Must be 18 years or older
Authorization to work in the U.S.
High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
Valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) with an acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card
6+ months of fiber splicing experience or 1+ year of experience in the telecommunications industry

Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of telecommunications network structures
Willingness to work on-call shifts, including after business hours as needed
