Fiber Technician
Location: Monroe, NC (must live within 1 hour of the office)
Pay: Depending on experience
Employment Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Rotating on-call shifts, including some weekends

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician to join our team and help connect America with tomorrow’s technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing OSP buried drops, splicing fiber optic cable, and performing restoration work. If you’re a reliable team player with telecommunications experience, this could be your next career move.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair existing fiber optic wiring during service calls.

Locate and dig to identify and access existing cables.

Splice, repair, and replace fiber optic cables.

Restore the work area after digging.

Provide exceptional customer service and review requested services with clients.

Communicate with supervisors and dispatch regarding work status.

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience in the telecommunications industry.

Valid standard driver’s license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience and a clean MVR.

Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs with assistance.

Comfortable working 3+ feet above ground and in all weather conditions.

Availability for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

Background check and drug screening required.
