General Ledger Accountant

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: 70-85K (Based on Experience)

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Bakersfield, CA. This role is ideal for an individual with a minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting, a strong proficiency in MS Office, and a passion for accuracy and financial analysis. As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, preparing reports, and supporting various accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll entries.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform detailed account analysis and provide insights for month-end close.
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management, highlighting any discrepancies or issues.
Work closely with other departments to ensure proper financial processes are followed and resolve accounting issues.
Assist in audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or a related role.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced skills required).
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (but not required).
