Job Title: Grant Writer – Construction & Land Development

Location: Los Angeles, CA

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Grant Writer to join our team and support our efforts to secure funding for our ongoing and upcoming construction initiatives.

Position Overview:
As a Grant Writer specializing in construction and land development, you will play a critical role in securing funding and support for our projects. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong writing skills, experience in construction-related grant applications, and a deep understanding of the land development industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of writing successful proposals and working collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify new funding opportunities from government, private foundations, and other funding sources related to construction, land development, and urban planning.
Write compelling and clear grant proposals, including project narratives, budgets, and outcomes.
Collaborate with project managers and leadership to understand project goals, timelines, and funding requirements.
Ensure compliance with all grant application guidelines and requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of submitted grants, funding reports, and documentation.
Build and maintain relationships with key funders, stakeholders, and government agencies.
Monitor and track the progress of submitted grants and ensure timely follow-up with funders.
Assist in preparing post-award reports and ensure all deliverables and reporting requirements are met.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Policy, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing, with a focus on construction, land development, or urban planning.
Proven track record of successful grant proposals for construction or development projects.
Strong knowledge of government funding opportunities and regulations (local, state, federal).
Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of environmental, zoning, and land use regulations is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with the Los Angeles area and its development landscape.
Experience with public-private partnerships and infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with grant management software or databases.
