We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Grower Relations Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in building and maintaining strong relationships with our network of growers. You will be responsible for providing exceptional support, resolving grower inquiries, and ensuring the successful implementation of our programs.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with growers through regular communication and on-site visits.
Provide technical support and guidance to growers on best practices, including crop management, production techniques, and quality standards.
Address grower concerns and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Conduct farm inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Collect and analyze grower data to identify areas for improvement and optimize production.
Educate growers on new programs, initiatives, and technologies.
Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Prepare reports and presentations on grower performance and program effectiveness.
Contribute to the development and implementation of grower programs and initiatives.
Must be able to travel more than 50% of the time to recruit new growers and interact with them directly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field preferred.
Experience in the Tree Nut Industry, almond industry is highly desirable.
3+ years of experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field.
Strong understanding of agricultural practices and production techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to travel within the region as needed.
