A fast growing manufacturing company is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to assist in managing day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the HR department. This includes overseeing employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding, handling employee relations, administering payroll, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. The role requires a strong understanding of HR practices within a manufacturing setting.
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist with recruiting efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
Manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all paperwork, training, and introductions are completed.
Employee Records and Documentation:
Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Process new hire documentation, promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring proper filing and updates in the HRIS program.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
Administer payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee wages, deductions, and benefits.
Assist in managing employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
Employee Relations:
Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
Address employee issues such as conflicts, grievances, and workplace conditions by working with managers and supervisors to resolve matters.
Compliance and Legal Requirements:
Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies in a manufacturing environment.
Prepare and maintain reports related to employee attendance, safety, training, and disciplinary actions to ensure adherence to legal standards.
Training and Development:
Assist in organizing training programs and workshops to improve employee skills and knowledge related to manufacturing processes, safety standards, and personal development.
Maintain training records for employees, ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations.
Performance Management:
Support the performance review process by assisting managers with evaluation forms and tracking performance metrics.
Maintain records of disciplinary actions, performance appraisals, and other employee-related documentation.
Health and Safety:
Work closely with the health and safety team to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Assist in the coordination of safety training and compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs.
General HR Support:
Assist HR managers and supervisors with day-to-day administrative tasks, including preparing reports, scheduling meetings, and maintaining office supplies.
Participate in employee engagement and retention initiatives, such as surveys or events to foster a positive work culture.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
3 plus years experience in human resources, administration, or a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and safety regulations.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
