Our client is looking to hire an Inventory Clerk.
This role is responsible for tracking and managing inventory levels, conducting regular stock counts, maintaining organized inventory records, and ensuring the accurate storage and retrieval of products. The role supports the operations of the warehouse, by maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Track and monitor stock levels of products and materials, ensuring availability for production, sales, or distribution.
Stock Counting: Perform regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and computer records.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, including receipts, shipments, and returns.
Stock Replenishment: Monitor low stock levels and coordinate with purchasing departments to order new stock or restock items.
Storage and Organization: Ensure proper storage of inventory, labeling, and organization to prevent damage and facilitate easy retrieval.
Quality Control: Inspect inventory for damage, expiration dates, or other quality issues, and report problems to management.
Inventory Reports: Generate and provide regular inventory reports, including stock levels, trends, and turnover.
Shipping and Receiving: Assist in the receiving of incoming stock, inspecting items for quality and accuracy, and coordinating with the shipping department for dispatch.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations, including the proper handling of hazardous materials or products, when applicable.
Customer Service: Assist with inventory-related inquiries from sales or production teams and help resolve any stock-related issues or shortages.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
