Legal Assistant – Philadelphia, PA
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to join and amazing team in Philadelphia. This dynamic role will involve providing secretarial and administrative support to multiple attorneys across a variety of practice groups, including white collar litigation, health care fraud, and commercial litigation. Secondary practice groups include product liability, insurance defense, and employment law.

As a Legal Assistant, you will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of legal matters and supporting attorneys in handling complex cases. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple areas of law in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Transcribe, compose, format, edit, proofread, and finalize documents, correspondence, pleadings, and reports.
Open new files, set up and organize files, perform conflicts checks, and update litigation profiles and glance sheets.
Prepare and file pleadings, including Appearances, Answers, and pretrial and dispositive Motions in both state and federal courts.
Coordinate and maintain trial dates, arbitrations, jury trials, depositions, inspections, and related status notes.
Manage incoming mail, enter daily time entries, and submit vendor invoices for payment.
Maintain attorney calendars, coordinate travel arrangements, and handle expense reporting.
Review and edit prebills in accordance with client guidelines.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience assisting attorneys in complex litigation areas, including white collar litigation, health care fraud, commercial litigation, product liability, insurance defense, and employment law.
Experience with both State and Federal courts, with a solid understanding of CM/ECF filings in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for quality work.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple files and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with management, staff, and clients.
A proactive, forward-thinking approach with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience with iManage and Prolaw is a plus.
