ABOUT THE JOB: LITIGATION LEGAL ASSISTANT: Our client is looking for an experienced legal assistant to support attorneys in general civil and commercial litigation, catastrophic personal injury and medical malpractice, with a minimum of 3-5 years litigation experience. The candidate must have strong organizational and time management skills, must pay careful attention to detail, and must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic. The legal assistant supports multiple attorneys with calendaring/docketing, e-filings, and maintaining electronic files. Required Skills And Competencies: • Proficiency with MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and PDF software • Proficient in a paperless environment • 3-5 years’ experience in a law firm, demonstrated knowledge of litigation process • E-filing • Dictaphone transcription • Excellent verbal and written skills • Ability to communicate with clients • Able to work independently. Self-driven with a desire to learn and improve continuously • Ability to work in fast paced environment, possess excellent time management and organizational skills and able to produce high quality work • Ability to adapt and prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines • Excellent and consistent attention to detail
